John Aciukewicz, Executive Director, made a presentation to the Dallas Rotary Club on December 15, 2016. Aciukewicz informed the Rotary Club members that at any one point time there are approximately 400 Luzerne County children in foster care. CASA of Luzerne County exists to provide a qualified and compassionate court-appointed volunteer advocate to every child who is abused and neglected, to ensure the fundamental human right of having a safe, nurturing, and permanent home is met. Currently, CASA of Luzerne County is advocating for 30 of those children. If you are interested in serving as an Advocate, please call us at 570-855-2247. Those shown in the photo (from left to right) are John Aciukewicz, Joann Prohaska, Rotary Club member, and Jason Jolley, Rotary Club President.
