CASA of Luzerne County is pleased to announce that it has received significant support from AllOne Foundation & Charities with a contribution of $45,000.00. Court-Appointed Special Advocates (CASA) exists to provide a qualified and compassionate court-appointed volunteer advocate to every child who is abused and neglected, to ensure the fundamental human right of having a safe, nurturing, and permanent home is met. Approximately 400 Luzerne County children are in foster care. If you would like to become an Advocate or support CASA, please call our office at 570-855-2247.

Diamonds to those who run the Luzerne County Court Appointed Special Advocates program, to those who volunteer to serve as advocates for children and to any future volunteers out there. Consider becoming one yourself. CASA volunteers advocate on behalf of physically or sexually abused children, getting to know the child, the family, the circumstances and using what they learn to give the child support and court officials insight.
