The Westmoreland Club Charitable Foundation recently provided a donation of $4,000 for Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA) of Luzerne County. The check was presented to support a CASA initiative to undertake a comprehensive strategic planning process in order to recruit, select, train, and support more volunteer advocates. CASA provides advocacy for children in Luzerne County who have suffered abuse and/or neglect to ensure their placement in safe, secure, and nurturing homes as soon as possible. One of the purposes of the Westmoreland Club Charitable Foundation is to assist qualified charitable community organizations that assist children and youth.
Ronald McDonald House Charities of Northeastern PA donates to CASA of Luzerne County
Ronald McDonald House Charities of Northeastern PA, Inc. presented a check in the amount of $8,800.00 to CASA of Luzerne County in support of volunteer recruitment and training on July 10, 2017. RMHC of Northeast PA, Inc. provides grants to support non-profit programs that directly improve the health and well-being of area children and their families. The charity is supported by McDonald's Corporation, local McDonald's Owner/Operators, corporate donors, and McDonald's customers.
