Miller-Keystone Blood Center provides the hospitals in our community with life-saving blood products for people who desperately need them. Due to COVID-19, Miller-Keystone Blood Center has been experiencing challenges maintaining a safe and stable blood supply.
The Life Blood of Our Community is a collaboration with five local nonprofits — CASA of Luzerne County, the American Cancer Society, North Branch Land Trust, the Osterhout Free Library, and the Wyoming Valley Children’s Association — to help recruit new blood donors for MKBC and raise needed operating funds for these organizations.
From December 3 through December 5, The Life Blood of Our Community will be hosting a blood drive at MKBC’s blood donor center, located at 400 Route 315 Suite E, Pittston Township. The goal is to collect 150 units of blood during these three days all while raising sponsorship funds for CASA and our fellow nonprofits.
If you’d like to donate blood, you can register here.
