Legna Sweeney | advocate coordinator

Legna Sweeney holds a Bachelor of Science in Advertising and brings a unique blend of communication skills, and social service experience to her role as Advocate Coordinator. Her career has been shaped by roles supporting vulnerable populations, including unaccompanied minors and families in crisis. She has served as a Caseworker and Social Service Coordinator where she provided direct care, case management, and emotional support to youth navigating complex and often traumatic circumstances.

Motivated by a strong desire to give back to her community, Legna made a purposeful shift from the private sector to social services. Originally beginning her career in the communications field, Legna felt a deep calling to make a greater impact in her community. That sense of purpose led her to transition into social services, where she could use her strengths: empathy, communication, and leadership to advocate for those whose voices often go unheard.

She is deeply committed to making a meaningful difference in the lives of children and families, ensuring they are heard, protected, and empowered.

In her current role, Legna oversees and supports volunteer advocates, helping them carry out their mission of standing up for the best interests of those they serve.
