As we say goodbye to several valued members of our Board of Directors, we extend our heartfelt thanks for their years of dedicated service to CASA of Wyoming Valley. Their leadership, commitment, and passion for our mission have made a lasting impact on the children and families we serve.

We are deeply grateful for the time, guidance, and expertise they shared, which helped strengthen our organization and expand our impact in the community. CASA of Wyoming Valley and CASA of Lackawanna County proudly invite the community to complimentary screenings of Brave the Dark, a powerful film based on a true story of resilience, compassion, and hope.

The film follows Mr. Deen, a dedicated teacher whose simple act of kindness toward a struggling student becomes a life-changing commitment. Each screening will be followed by a brief panel discussion with the filmmaker, CASA staff, and child advocates exploring the film’s themes and the impact of advocacy and mentorship.
